Feb 25, 2014 · I have a new problem. My transmission is no longer working and needs a replacement or rebuild. My regular shop quoted a replacement price of $4,800 (3,800 parts & $1,000 labor). Ouch. I found a used transmission at a local salvage yard for $850 delivered with 116K miles. I have a few questions:
