Reading through the manual, it stated the breech plug did not require removal for cleaning every time the rifle was cleaned, and suggested perhaps once at the end of the season. This was something of a surprise, because my other inline, Accura MR, I absolutely remove and clean the breech plug after every shooting session.

Have a Knight with a slotted breech plug and no Combination tool. The nipple is for #11 percussion cap and is not hex, it has 2 flat sides. I removed the breech plug with a drift punch and careful taps. The slots are in good condition.
