So a one year crop rotation would look like: onion/flax-cabbage-rye. You can sub onion/flax-cabbage with a single crop of beetroot, carrot, oat, wheat, or poppy if you want the variety (or double up on cabbage if you really want cabbage), but then always harvest and plant rye in autumn. This seems kind of basic, and also like a lot of rye. Poppy is a resource item used in crafting. It can be grown from Poppy Seeds. Poppy seeds can be harvested from poppy at the workbench in the Barn. It's stored in Resource Storage. After Poppy Seeds are sowed on a field, which can be done in spring, poppy will be ready for harvest in autumn. Villagers can plant and harvest poppy when they are assigned as Farmers. At that point, you should see the field greyed out, and the plant types will be on the left that you tap up/down on. Now, you click the plant you want for that field and tap inside the plot (or hold button and drag) to fill up the plot as you need. You should be able to plant multiple types or just one whole single field of whatever.
