For me the Rokid Station charges just fine without the glasses and without the HDMI to USB-C cable connected. What I noticed though is that the Rokid Station does not like some USB power bricks, from one of them it charges normally, from another it can stay connected for days and take almost no charge. The rokid max does not have a built in 3dof mode. Only the viture one does. And its not a good 3dof implementation as it rotates with your head in multiple directions.
