I'm looking for build advice for a spear fighter that specializes in being among the enemies. This is kind of a cliché to state in pathfinder2e, but +1 bonuses matter, especially for things like attack rolls because it modifies both hit chance and crit chance. So, often times the name of the game in 2e is teamwork.Mechanically, longspears are simple weapons while swords are martial weapons. Swords are pretty much better options unless your deity has a longspear as their favored weapon. You might want to look into a spear-adjacent polearm like the ranseur or guisarme. 23.
