There is a topical alternative to Spironolactone called Winlevi. So, at the very least, you wouldn't be reliant on an oral medication and you would just use the topical like any other skin care product. However, in my experience, insurance (American here) can be convinced to cover Spironolactone but not Winlevi for some reason.
