The Beach House has suffered for years from inconsistent service, poor quality food and a lack of value. Making up for its shortcomings has been a very lively bar and lounge and the most spectacular Kauai sunsets possible from its incomparable oceanfront location at Lawai Beach. Waikomo Stream is part of the atmosphere at The Aloha House. Humpback whales return to the waters off Kauai every winter, to mate and calve their young. You can see the whales from shore, just down the street from The Aloha House. You don't even need binoculars. To spot one, look for a plume of spray against the horizon.Easy beach and town access, all easily walkable. The inside living area also was wonderfully large with loads of room for us all. We used a wagon for our 2 granddaughters to walk into town. We've been visiting Kauai for 35 years.
